Coffee
Coffee features high amounts of caffeine. Drinking vast amounts of caffeine may result in a rise in blood pressure and restlessness. Coffee is a stimulant that is reported to help short term concentration. However, people may often become too dependant on caffeine.
Drinking vast amounts of caffeine may result in stress, as caffeine releases stress hormones in the body and may promote the ageing of skin. It is believed that it lowers the absorption of both iron and zinc by nearly half, and this in turn may weaken the immunity system, making one more prone to health problems.
Caffeine can also place strain on the adrenal system, which has been said to make an individual feel down. As coffee encourages wakefulness, consuming vast amounts may result in sleeping problems or insomnia.
A much healthier substitute to caffeine is said to be drinking herbal teas, such as Green tea, camomile tea and nettle tea as they all feature healthy attributes containing high amounts of antioxidants and are said to help in strengthening the immune system.
