Heart attacks
A heart attack happens when the blood supply to the heart is cut off by a blockage, either in the blood vessels that lead to the heart or in the circulation of the heart muscle itself. Heart attacks might result in death, however many individuals do survive from heart attacks. The enormity of the attack depends on where in the heart the blockage occurs. If someone survives a heart attack, areas of the heart tissue may die and are substituted by scar tissue, resulting to a fall in the hearts ability to function normally.
